The alternatives
1. bananaleaf.ai — the AI-native CRM
An AI sales agent on your own WhatsApp number and Instagram account that answers from your price sheet, books appointments and writes the deal record, with a pipeline that moves itself. No public price; the plan is set per organisation. Not for you if you are a developer or an enterprise team that wants a raw WhatsApp API at a flat per-message fee and will build the inbox, bot and CRM yourself.
- The product is the whole sales loop, not the pipe: an AI agent that answers from your documents and price sheet, a pipeline that writes itself from the chat, bookings, follow-ups and a team inbox — none of which the self-serve API page offers.
- Prices in rupees, with Meta's rate plus a stated markup, prepaid and charged only for delivered messages.
- Built for a clinic, hotel, developer or consultant with one number and a small team, not an enterprise integration project.
2. Wati
Wati is a shared WhatsApp inbox and broadcast platform with a chatbot builder, a built-in CRM and a large integration list, sold on public plans.
- Pricing: Growth $59/month and Pro $119/month, billed annually; Business is custom. The page shows a dollar sign and does not name the currency (its own page, 25 October 2026).
- AI: Astra AI agents: not included on Growth; a separately priced add-on on Pro.
- CRM: Built-in WhatsApp CRM with a visual sales pipeline.

- CRM: Lead pipeline management on Advanced.
6. DoubleTick
DoubleTick is a WhatsApp sales and marketing platform that names Starter, Pro and Enterprise plans and says AI agents are built into every plan, without listing prices.

How to choose
Ask each vendor for one monthly total: platform fee, extra users, the AI agent, and an estimated message bill at Meta's rates for your market. Then ask the two questions that separate an inbox from a CRM: who owns each lead, and what happens to a lead nobody answered.
Questions people ask
What is the best Gupshup alternative for a clinic or a small business?
It depends on what you need first: a published price and a shared inbox, or an AI agent with a pipeline and bookings. The list below gives each tool's own published price and what it does differently, so you can compare one monthly total.
Can I move my WhatsApp number from Gupshup?
Yes. Meta allows a WhatsApp Business number to move between providers; old chats stay on the old platform, so export what you need first.
What does Gupshup charge for the WhatsApp API?
Its self-serve pricing page (opened 2 Nov 2026) states a standard $0.001 per message fee, with WhatsApp's own per-message charges billed at actuals. The page shows USD only and no monthly plan; enterprise features and pricing are on request.
Is Gupshup for small businesses?
Its home page sells to enterprises (banking, insurance, large consumer brands) and does not mention SMBs; the self-serve API is a raw API for developers. bananaleaf.ai is built for a small team on one WhatsApp number.
Does Gupshup include a CRM or an AI agent in the self-serve price?
Not on the pages we opened. The self-serve page prices messages only; AI agents, co-pilot and the Conversation Cloud are enterprise products with no price shown.
